Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy(REBT)
The theory of REBT is founded on the idea that everyone has basic life goals,
such as working, learning, falling in love, and enjoying life, but that these
goals are frequently derailed by difficulties (such as rejection, failure, and
discomfort).
These setbacks have psychological effects on feelings, ideas, and behaviours.
According to REBT, people react to challenges in either healthy or unhealthy
ways, depending on how they perceive them.
Your therapist will assist you in recognising unhelpful emotional reactions to
adversity and exploring the thought patterns and beliefs that fuel these
difficulties during REBT sessions. Once these beliefs have been uncovered,
clients are taught various techniques to confront them and replace them with
new, more empowering beliefs that promote healthier emotional states. In the
end, REBT seeks to assist clients in creating a philosophy and way of life that
will improve their wellbeing, happiness, and general well-being.
